<br />Roseville City Council <br />Minutes of 1/29/07 Pg 6 of 38 <br />Councilmember Kough advised that he would be voting against <br />approving the Check Register due to employee recognition items <br />listed on the register. <br /> <br />Councilmember Pust requested specific items and location on the reg- <br />ister. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kough identified those items of concern; and ex- <br />pressed his concern regarding the need for an Audit Committee. <br />Councilmember Kough also identified several Parks and Recreation <br />Department expenses for meeting space outside City facilities. <br /> <br />Councilmember Ihlan concurred with Councilmember Kough's con- <br />cerns with employee recognitions as a taxpayer expense was valid; <br />and suggested the Council look at this item as a separate policy issue. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing recognized the concerns of Councilmembers Kough <br />and Ihlan. <br /> <br />Councilmember Ihlan suggested removal of those items but was un- <br />able to identify the specific items at this time. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing suggested that a majority vote be taken on the Check <br />Register. <br /> <br />Roe moved, Pust seconded, approval of the following claims and <br />payments as presented. <br /> <br />ACH Payments $1,145,213.67 <br />46183-46369 492,201.03 <br />Total $1,637,414.70 <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Roe; Pust; and Klausing. <br />Nays: Kough and Ihlan <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing noted that Councilmembers Kough and Ihlan would <br />be coming to the full Council in the near future with their recommen- <br />dations regarding appointment of an Audit Committee <br />
