<br />Regular City Council Meeting <br />Monday, February 12, 2007 <br />Page 2 of 30 <br /> <br />Scott Higbee, Ann Keeney, and Tam McGehee; and briefly sumn1arized the annual <br />Essay contest. <br /> <br />Chair Delmore introduced first place winner, Clara Miliotis, an 8th grader at Rose- <br />ville Area Middle School (RAMS), and her teacher Mr. Andrea; and Ms. Miliotis <br />read her essay, and was presented with a certificate and cash gift. <br /> <br />Chair Delmore introduced second place winner, Ellie Krienke, a 7th grade student <br />at RAMS, and her teacher Mr. Lauinger; and Ms. Krienke read her essay, and was <br />presented with a certificate and cash gift. <br /> <br />Chair Delmore introduced third place winner, Ellie Wilson, an 8th grade student at <br />RAMS, and her teacher Mr. Bibeau; and Ms. Wilson read her essay, and was pre- <br />sented with a certificate and cash gift. <br /> <br />Commissioner Delmore introduced honorable mention award winners, and each <br />received a certificate of accom lishment: <br />Julia Jacobson 8t Grade Parkview <br />Elise Kendall 8t Grade RAMS <br />Bethan Pertzson 8t Grade RAMS <br />Abbe Roemer 8t Grade RAMS <br />Maggie Strait 7t Grade RAMS <br /> <br />Ms. Black <br />Mr. Bibeau <br />Mr. Andrea <br />Mr. Andrea <br />Mr. Johnson <br /> <br />Chair Delmore also thanked the principals at the various schools for their participa- <br />tion and assistance. The participating teachers were given a $20 gift card. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing thanked Chair Delmore and the Human Rights Commission for <br />their work and review of the essays; and thanked parents and students for their par- <br />ticipation and presentations. <br /> <br />1.
