City of Roseville, Minnesota <br />DEPARTMENTAL DESCRIPTION <br />2002 Budget <br />BUILDING REP CEMEN .0 <br />Fund: Building Replacement <br />Account Number: 410 - 064.000 <br />Organizational Accountability: Finance Director <br />The Building Replacement Fund provides for the gathering of <br />depreciation reserves from various non - enterprise funds to <br />supply financing for the repair of general governmental <br />buildings. Depreciation charges are transferred to this fund <br />from user departments. These charges and the interest earned <br />on those balances are only used to repair and upgrade current <br />general governmental buildings. <br />CITY RESOURCE INPUTS <br />EXPECTED CITY OUTCOMES <br />Strategic Outcomes: <br />Provides for an orderly repair and <br />upgrade of general governmental <br />buildings without major property <br />tax swings <br />IV-51 <br />2002 STxATEGIC WORK <br />PLAN <br />Work with the departments and the <br />City Council to ensure maximum <br />use is made of the current facilities <br />Advise and work with management <br />and the City Council to assure the <br />health of the improvements <br />depreciation fund <br />2000 ACHIEVEMENTS <br />Ai Maintained a 30.2% level of <br />funding for investment in 2000 <br />i Provided timely building <br />remodeling and maintenance to <br />extend value and life to the City's <br />building investment <br />Citizen Benefit /Impact: <br />•:� Assures public structures that serve <br />the community are safe and usable <br />Allows the City to continue to add <br />value to its services by providing the <br />proper building work environment <br />
