City of Roseville — 2006 Budget <br />Division /Program: Geographic Information Systems <br />Organizational Responsibility: Community Development Director <br />Division / Program Description <br />The GIS division coordinates the intra- departmental geographic data base system. The division is <br />responsible for improving city mapping and data management, linking GIS to permits, creating web <br />versions of maps, and using GIS technology for long range planning. The division collaborates with <br />other governmental units to maximize the accuracy of GIS data and to improve overall efficiency.
