Receive Update from Ramsey County Commissioner Jan Parker <br /> Mayor Roe welcomed Ramsey County Commissioner Jan Parker, noting that <br /> since she was not running for re-election, this may be her last periodic report to <br /> the Roseville City Council. <br /> Commissioner Parker's staff provided a packet of reports and information. <br /> Commissioner Parker highlighted some of the information and provided updates <br /> for items of interest in Ramsey County and to residents of the City of Roseville. <br /> Those highlights included awards/recognitions; Ramsey County budget; County <br /> road projects; medicine collection program and sites; stadium/TCAAP envi- <br /> ronmental clean-up; parks and libraries; the Meals on Wheels program; and <br /> trends within the County of families considered "in crisis." Commissioner Par- <br /> ker noted that, while the 2012 budget had in fact been reduced when compared <br /> with the 2011 budget, there were increases to property tax bills in many areas <br /> significantly due to reductions in federal and state funding. <br /> Commissioner Parker addressed the NE Diagonal, noting another meeting of <br /> cities along that corridor had recently been held, with continued interest from <br /> those cities in the corridor.
