Regular City Council Meeting <br /> Monday, May 21, 2012 <br /> Page 6 <br /> Rail Authority's plan to acquire land for future transit as it became available for <br /> a bike trail. <br /> Discussion among Councilmembers and Commissioner Parker included contin- <br /> ued increases in the use of the Ramsey County Library—Roseville branch com- <br /> pared to the seven (7)branches within the suburban area. <br /> Mayor Roe and individual Councilmembers thanked Commissioner Parker for <br /> her service to and representation of the City of Roseville during her tenure with <br /> Ramsey County; and for her informative presentation tonight. <br /> Commissioner Parker expressed her appreciation of being given the opportunity <br /> to serve the community as a "labor of love;" and announced that she had ac- <br /> cepted the role of Co-President of the North Suburban Senior Coalition. <br /> b. Joint Meeting with Ethics Commission <br /> Ethics Commissioners Ben Lehman; Margo Fjelstad (Vice Chair); Nancy <br /> O'Brian; and Anne Collopy were in attendance from the Ethics Commission; <br /> with Commissioner LuAnne Pederson unable to attend tonight. <br /> Commissioner Fjelstad thanked City Attorney and City Manager for their assis- <br /> tance to the Commission. <br /> Topics of discussion, at the request of the Ethics Commission, were outlined in <br /> the Request for Council Action (RCA) dated May 21, 2012. <br /> Recap on 2012 Annual Ethics Training <br /> Vice Chair Fjelstad noted the favorable reception of speakers at the 2012 annual <br /> ethics training: Dr. David Schultz and former Roseville Mayor Craig Klausing <br /> for their thought-provoking comments and historical perspective. <br /> Vice Chair Fjelstad advised that the Ethics Commission would be responsive to <br /> feedback from 2012 participants and seek to improve 2013 training to provide a <br /> more clear connection between items in the Roseville Ethics Code for that train- <br /> ing, including specific hypothetical conversations or situations; as well as to re- <br /> duce the amount of time for the annual training. <br /> Update on any Complaints Reported to Ethics Commission <br /> None received to-date. <br /> Non-Filing of Annual Disclosure Statements <br /> Vice Chair Fjelstad reported on this issue, brought to the City Council's atten- <br /> tion at their March 12, 2012 meeting, and subsequent reference to and follow-up <br /> by the Ethics Commission for three (3) City Advisory Commission Members <br /> who had not completed their non-disclosure statements.
