Mayor Klausing opined his suppOli; noting the previous presentation on global warming issues; and encouraging additional opportunities for biking and walking. Mayor Klausing suggested associated amenities for staff consideration (i.e., provisions for bike lockers and secure bike parking); with Mr. Schwartz re- sponding that he would include potential amenities in the operations cate- gory of discussions. Staff was directed to return to the March 26, 2007 regular Council meeting for consideration and action. Bus Shelter on Snelling and Skillman Avenues Councilmember Kough, on a related note, addressed the undersized bus shelter and lack of seating at this particular location. Mr. Schwartz advised that this site was one that had received replacement of a for- mer Metro Transit shelter; and the type of design was narrow without benches. Mr. Schwartz advised that staff would address City concerns to CBS Outdoors, the new owner of former vendor, TranStop. Staff was directed to meet with the transit shelter firm and report back to the full City Council on their discussion. Councilmember Kough requested notice of the meeting for his attendance. 11. Informational regarding a Minor Amendment to the AMC Theaters Planned Unit Development City Manager Malinen advised that staff was seeking City Council concur- rence that staff could move forward in issuing a permit for a minor subdivi- sion for the AMC Theaters, for an enclosed ticket counter. Mayor Klausing observed that it would seem, from a political and practical standpoint, to support a minor amendment to the PUD.
