198 <br />Member Stenlund noted, with the numerous storms in the area this year already, <br />199 <br />and the significant Maple Tree seeds, the Geed to continue to educate citizens on <br />200 <br />the amount of phosphorus discharge from those seeds. Chair Vanderwall <br />201 <br />concurred that the storm water outflows he'd observed had been astounding. <br />202 <br />203 <br />Me Stenlund noted that as not aware of erosion control and other Best <br />204 <br />Manag ment Practice (BMP) efforts in the SWPPP, including the Saint Anthony <br />205 <br />Falls Laboratory SNAFL (SP ?) baffle; with Ms. Bloom advising that those efforts <br />206 <br />were routine for the City and therefore not highlighted in the SWPPP. <br />207 <br />208 <br />Member Stenlun noted that videos of underground management efforts needed <br />209 <br />to be provided by video to make citizens aware of those management efforts. <br />210 <br />211 <br />Member DeBenedet concurred with Member Stenlund in the need to monitor <br />212 <br />erosion control for smaller projects especially since they tended to slip under the <br />213 <br />radar and were too small to trigger ordinance requirements. Member DeBenedet <br />214 <br />suggested that those concerns be addressed as the storm water ordinance was <br />215 <br />revised; as well as through education efforts. Member DeBenedet opined that <br />216 <br />there needed to be additional education for smaller projects involving home <br />217 <br />improvements by individual citizens, contractors and /or builders, since many of <br />Page 5 of 19 <br />
