<<
a
Update
The segment of Eldridge Avenue between Fairview
Ave and the cul- de- sac is scheduled for pavement
rehabilitation this summer. The City's Contractor,
Valley Paving, will start work in your neighborhood
near the end of the week of June 11.
The Contractor will be replacing the street
pavement. Curbs scheduled for removal have
been marked. The contractor will remove and
replace curb. The existing pavement will be ground
up and graded out for new pavement. Finally, the
streets will be paved with two lifts of bituminous.
This work should take about 3 weeks.
The work is anticipated to be complete in July. The
Contractor's full schedule is available on the project
webpage. We meet with the contractor weekly and
update this schedule if it changes. This schedule is
weather dependent.
The Contractor will try to maintain access during
construction. If you have special access needs,
please contact us to let us know.
Mail Delivery & Garbage Pick up
The construction work should not impact your mail
delivery or garbage pickup. Schedules and times
should remain unchanged.
Safety
Your assistance in keeping the work zone safe is
important. The noise and dust created by
construction traffic make it difficult for workers to
watch onlookers. Heavy equipment operators must
concentrate on the job at hand and may not notice
children playing near or behind equipment.
Please remind children to stay clear of the
construction area and equipment both during
working and non - working hours.
Curb and Gutter
If there are curb and gutter repairs at your driveway
and /or concrete replacement on your driveway,
there will be a five -day period to harden or "cure"
the concrete. During that time, you will be able to
park in the street in front of your house.
2012 Pavement
Management Project
Pavement Reclamation
Private Systems/ Gardens
Underground sprinklers, electrical for yard lights,
perennial gardens, or invisible fences installed
within 10 or 15 feet of the curb marked for removal,
need to be removed from the right of way.
Removal and reinstallation of these items is the
responsibility of the property owner. We
recommend that you mark with paint or flags the
location of underground wires or sprinklers
immediately.
If you are not sure if your system is in the way,
please call Dean Findell.
If you have a private system adjacent to curb
marked for removal, the system should be removed
from the city right- of- way before construction
starts the week of June 11. If you cannot meet this
schedule, please contact us.
If these items are not removed, the contractor will
damage them during construction.
Check for construction updates at: www.citvofroseville.com /2012PMP
