<br />Executive Session of the City Council <br />3/26/07 Minutes Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br />City Attorney Anderson again advised that the Open Meeting law requires <br />the City, prior to closing a meeting, to state the grounds allowing closure <br />and to describe the subject to be discussed. City Attorney Anderson <br />advised that according to Minnesota Statute Section 13D. 05 of the Open <br />Meeting Law, closure was permitted under the attorney/client privilege. <br />City Attorney Anderson indicated that in order to advance the public <br />interest, it was necessary for him to consult with the Council <br />confidentially on the pending litigation involving a contested case <br />administrative matter in front of an Administrative Law Judge regarding <br />Axel's Char House. City Attorney Anderson indicated he wanted to <br />discuss the status of the hearing for suspension of Axel's liquor license, <br />and strategies, tactics and legal claims in the context of that hearing <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing again opened the Special Meeting in Open Session, and <br />on a unanimous vote (5/0) the meeting was closed and the Council <br />reconvened at 5:51 p.m. in Executive Session Mayor Klausing adjourned <br />the meeting at 6: 15 p.m. <br />
