Councilmember Pust announced upcoming public forums and other <br />ways that Mounds View Public School District was seeking public in- <br />put regarding the replacement of retiring ISD No. 621 School Super- <br />intendent Dr. J an Witthuhn; and encouraged Roseville residents in <br />that school district to participate with their comments. Details and <br />survey forms available at <br /> <br /> <br />b. Mayor Klausing recognized several Police Department personnel, in- <br />cluding former Sgt. Eric Christensen, who had received a recent <br />award posthumously, and expressed congratulations to the family. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing reviewed several opportunities he'd participated in <br />recently, in his role as Mayor, and thanked the City volunteers and <br />school students who participated in the events. <br /> <br />3. Recognitions, Communications and Donations <br />a. Recognition of Goodmanson Construction for their Sponsorship <br />of the 2006 New Year's Eve Celebration at the Roseville Skating <br />Center <br />On behalf of the City, Kevin Elm, Recreation Program Coordinator <br />and Banquet Room Coordinator at the Skating Center, made a presen- <br />tation recognizing $4,000 cash contribution, $2,000 in door prizes and <br />supplies, and staff assistance representing approximately $2,000, for a <br />total $6,000, including providing and distributing a substantial number <br />of flyers about the event and recognizing their sponsorship of the <br />2006 New Year's Eve Celebration at the Skating Center. Mr. Elm <br />noted that approximately 1500 participated in the event. A plaque <br />was presented to the Goodmanson family representatives in atten- <br />dance, Mer! and Rick Goodmanson, and Goodmanson Construction, <br />Inc. for their generous and significant sponsorship of the 2006 New <br />Year's Eve Celebration at the Roseville Skating Center. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing, on behalf of the City Council, residents and staff, <br />thanked the Goodmanson family, and led all in a round of applause. <br />Mer! Goodmanson thanked Parks and Recreation Director Lonnie <br />Brokke, and his staff, noting their superb work throughout the evening <br />
