Regular City Council Meeting Minutes Monday, April 23, 2007 Page 2 Councilmember Ihlan requested removal of Consent Agenda Items 7.e and 7.f respectively entitled, "Quit Claim Deed - Approve a Quit Claim Deed Transferring Land back to Nature View of Roseville Town Home Associa- tion;" and "Designation of Local Government Unit (LGU) - Designate the City of Roseville as the LGU for the Northwestern College Environmental Assessment Worksheet." 3. Public Comment Mayor Klausing called for public comment by members of the audience on any non-agenda items. a. John Kysylyczyn, 3083 N Victoria Street Mr. Kysylyczyn provided a Bench Handout, entitled, "Bids for En- hancement Project at County Road C and Lexington;" a "Chronol- ogy;" and several photos and diagrams related to the City Hall campus and curved sign versus straight sign differences in viewing angles; and referenced a report from the early 1990's by RLK Architects and a Master Plan prepared for the campus. Mr. Kysylyczyn opined that, prior to expending $50,000 of taxpayer monies for a $50,000 monument sign for the City Hall campus, that they review those previous documents. Mr. Kysylyczyn questioned the location of several sculptures previ- ously donated to the City by Rosedale Center; and suggested the Council consider a curved monument sign for more visibility and a larger viewing area, rather than a straight sign. 4. Council Communications, Reports and Announcements a. Mayor Klausing noted the death of Mr. George Reiling on April 1, 2007; recognized his many years of participation in the community; and on behalf of the community, staff and City Council, expressed condolences to the Reiling family. b. Mayor Klausing thanked the volunteers involved in the Earth Day Celebration over the weekend for a successful event.
