Set Public Hearing - Set a Public Hearing for June 11, 2007 for <br />the Purpose of Issuing Tax-Exempt Bonds for Centennial Gar- <br />dens West Apartments (Former Consent Item 7.d) <br />Mayor Klausing questioned the date of June 11, 2007 for the Public <br />Hearing, rather than May 21, 2007. <br /> <br />The applicant, representing Centennial Gardens West/East Apart- <br />ments, Mr. Terry McMillis, advised that, upon recommendation by <br />the City's Bond Counsel, Briggs & Morgan, it was concluded that <br />bonds for both the West and East apartment complexes would be is- <br />sued as one bond issue, it was prudent to hold the Public Hearings on <br />the same evening. However, Mr. McMillis noted that publication of <br />the Hearing Notice for the first complex had already been process <br />prior to a Purchase Agreement for the West Apartment Complex; thus <br />necessitating the Public Hearing being convened on May 21, 2007, <br />and then continued to the June 11, 2007 meeting. <br /> <br />Councilmember Ihlan opined similar concerns to those she had voiced <br />with the previous East Apartment Complex issue, with the resolution <br />
