AttachmentD <br />Goal 3: Prevent erosion into the City’s lakes, ponds, and wetlands. <br />The Community Development finds that to the extent feasible, the City attempts to address <br />erosion through enforcement and regulations. All developments are required to install erosion <br />control fabric around the site perimeter so that should erosion occur, it is contained on-site and <br />not impact adjacent public systems and/or ponds, wetlands, or lakes. <br />Policy 3.1: Require storm-water management and erosion-control plans for urban development <br />and redevelopment projects. <br />The Community Development Department finds that all projects in Roseville are required to <br />receive approval of a storm water management plan (by the city and water management <br />organization) and is required to receive an erosion control permit. <br />Policy 3.2: Enforce development controls to reduce non-point-source pollutant load in surface <br />water runoff using best management practices, such as rain gardens, bio filtration, and ponding. <br />The Community Development Department finds that the City’s storm water regulations address <br />this policy, which requirements will apply to the Walmart development. <br />Policy 3.3: Continue to cooperate with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) in <br />enforcing nonpoint source discharge standards. <br />The Community Development finds that the City has adopted regulations consistent with or in <br />support of nonpoint source pollution that are reviewed through a developments storm water <br />management plan. <br />. <br />17 <br />Page27of27 <br /> <br />
