Motion passed unanimously. <br />Approve Minutes ��y <br />Commissioner David Singleton moved and Commissioner Thao seconded motion to approve April <br />18 and May 10 meeting minutes as amended. Motion prevailed unanimously. Commissioner <br />Ka_�g Thao thanked the Chair for his work in preparing a detailed record of the Commission's <br />public forum on the pro�osed marriage amendment to the Minnesota Constitution. <br />Chair's Report <br />Joint Meeting with City CounciL• Chair Grefenberg reminded commissioners of the joint meeting <br />with the City Council on July 16. He said it was a time to discuss concerns, review what was done <br />in the previous year and talk about plans for the upcoming year. <br />Commissioner Wayne Groff arrived at 6:45. <br />Chair Grefenberg suggested using the Commission's Strategic Plan, included in the meetin� packet, <br />as a starting point to identify. Commissioners ��°„� projects they've been working on <br />including: <br />• Forums on Elder Abuse and Constitutional Amendment on Marria�e <br />• Transparent and Public dialogue on the Marriage Amendment <br />• Internal Commission Processes Determined and Defined Collaborati� <br />• Outreach — citizen involvement/neighboring communities <br />• Better understanding of Open Meetings Law <br />• Student Essay Contest <br />
