He asked Commissioners to get back to him if items were missing <br />52 before their joint meetin� with the Council scheduled for July 16tj/ <br />53 <br />54 Other Items: Chair Grefenberg said that the Rosefest Parade was coming up on Monday, June 25. <br />55 The Commission would distribute pencils with information about Nextdoor.com and candy <br />56 provided by the Housing and Redevelopment Authority. He advised the Commission he had <br />57 autharized the attachment to the previousl��proved pencils of ribbons advertisin� the NextDoar <br />58 project; these pencils would be handed out along the Parade route, and cost of the ribbon <br />59 attachments would not be char�ed to the Commission. <br />60 <br />61 Commissioner Ka,�� Thao thanked Carolyn Curti for all her work in preparing the pencils for the <br />62 Parade. <br />63 <br />64 Chair Grefenberg s� reported on a� meetin� with City Manager Bill Malinen to discuss <br />65 improvin�communication between �rstaff and himself and the Commission, and that he was <br />66 hopeful that communications would improve. Grefenber� also noted that the Commission itself <br />67 was composed of talented people and encoura�ed them to continue to do tasks which at one time <br />68 had been done by staff, such as press releases and workin� with the Police Department. He <br />69 su��ested it would heln if the Commission continued to broaden its base of volunteers so its work <br />70 <br />71 <br />72 <br />73 <br />74 <br />75 <br />76 <br />77 <br />could remain productive. <br />�e Grefenberg also said he would rely on �-other �'^mm��°�^„ commissioners to take the <br />initiative and leadership on some tasks because his current workload was very heavy. <br />Committee Reports <br />Operations Committee Report on Proposed B-Laws <br />for Commission Discussion <br />78 Commissioner and Vice Chair David Singleton said the Committee had met several times to work <br />79 on the bylaws, and they had put together a proposal for the Commission and staff to �+� �e <br />80 discuss.. They were looking for feedback at tonight's meeting and they would incorporate and bring <br />81 back to the next meeting.
