He asked Commissioners to get back to him if items were missing 52 before their joint meetin� with the Council scheduled for July 16tj/ 53 54 Other Items: Chair Grefenberg said that the Rosefest Parade was coming up on Monday, June 25. 55 The Commission would distribute pencils with information about Nextdoor.com and candy 56 provided by the Housing and Redevelopment Authority. He advised the Commission he had 57 autharized the attachment to the previousl��proved pencils of ribbons advertisin� the NextDoar 58 project; these pencils would be handed out along the Parade route, and cost of the ribbon 59 attachments would not be char�ed to the Commission. 60 61 Commissioner Ka,�� Thao thanked Carolyn Curti for all her work in preparing the pencils for the 62 Parade. 63 64 Chair Grefenberg s� reported on a� meetin� with City Manager Bill Malinen to discuss 65 improvin�communication between �rstaff and himself and the Commission, and that he was 66 hopeful that communications would improve. Grefenber� also noted that the Commission itself 67 was composed of talented people and encoura�ed them to continue to do tasks which at one time 68 had been done by staff, such as press releases and workin� with the Police Department. He 69 su��ested it would heln if the Commission continued to broaden its base of volunteers so its work 70 71 72 73 74 75 76 77 could remain productive. �e Grefenberg also said he would rely on �-other �'^mm��°�^„ commissioners to take the initiative and leadership on some tasks because his current workload was very heavy. Committee Reports Operations Committee Report on Proposed B-Laws for Commission Discussion 78 Commissioner and Vice Chair David Singleton said the Committee had met several times to work 79 on the bylaws, and they had put together a proposal for the Commission and staff to �+� �e 80 discuss.. They were looking for feedback at tonight's meeting and they would incorporate and bring 81 back to the next meeting. He said the bylaws were modeled after bylaws of other organizations. . . . .� . . . . Commissioner poneen said they tried to reflect both how the commission operates and �-�� the City Code. Commissioners discussed the first two articles, including the name, mission statement and purpose, agreeing that those sections �'�^��'� �*^_� �r were pertinent.
