II.BACKGROUNDANDGENERALINFORMATION <br />The City of Roseville is seeking proposals for a Resident Survey. <br />While having varied uses, the primary purpose of a community survey is to: <br />1)Measure the needs, wants, and desires of the community <br />2)Gauge the level of satisfaction in the services currently being provided <br />3)Ensure that we provide high-quality, cost-effective services <br />4)Validate that our resource allocation is appropriate <br />5)Identify future funding priorities <br />6)Examine trends in satisfaction and funding priorities (through comparison with <br />previously collected data) <br />7)Demonstrate we care and value public opinion and input <br />The past two resident surveys were conducted in 2011 and 1998. Results are included as <br />Attachment A to this RFP. <br />SCOPEOFSERVICE <br />III. <br />The selected contractor will provide the following services: <br />Assist in the development of the final survey <br />Suggest additional analyses that could be run to help achieve the goals itemized in the <br />Background and General Information section above <br />Acquire all necessary contact information for the target audience <br />Develop, in consultation with the City, a methodology(ies) for data collection <br />Implement the methodology(ies), collect and document all data <br />Provide a draft report, including but not necessarily limited to: an executive summary, <br />a summary of results for all survey questions, key findings, appropriate graphics, and <br />trend data <br />Meet either in person or virtually with City staff to review the draft report, discuss the <br />findings, and identify any necessary revisions to the report <br />Provide a final report that incorporates revisions from the meeting, a Power Point <br />presentation summarizing the data and key findings, and an Excel file of the raw data <br />Provide all documents in electronic format, compatible with Microsoft Office 2007 <br />Communicate with City staff as necessary <br />The City will provide the following: <br />1.A draft set of survey questions <br />2.Findings from previous surveys to be used for trend analysis <br />3.Staff time to answer questions throughout the course of this project <br /> <br />
