Community Development Department 2014-2017 Strategic Plan <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />The 2014-2017 Strategic Plan for the Community Development Department has been developed <br />in accordance with Imagine Roseville 2025 (IR2025), City Council Goals, and the Departments <br />overall mission and long-term vision. Within this framework, the Department has established <br />goals and priorities that will guide the allocation of resources and operational decisions. <br /> <br />The Community Development Departments mission is: <br /> <br />The Roseville Community Development Department is dedicated to maintaining and enriching <br />our communitys vitality through long-range planning, equitable administration of building and <br />zoning codes and facilitation of sustainable redevelopment. <br /> <br />This mission reflects the Departments oversight in ensuring that current and future development <br />is responsible and beneficial to the community. It also ensures that there is fair and consistent <br />stewardship in undertaking the Departments responsibilities. <br /> <br />In support of the Departments mission, the Community Development has developed value <br />statements to guide long term planning efforts for departmental functions and to identify new <br />areas of opportunity. These departmental values are incorporated into the day-to-day activities <br />of the Department and in employee expectations.
