Public <br />involvement also allows the City to reach residents that might be looking for educational <br />information on water resources or opportunities to get involved in local improvement <br />projects. <br />The City's web site is an alternative medium to provide municipal information to both City <br />residents and those people who live outside Roseville. An electronic version of this Plan is <br />accessible on the City's stormwater webpage. Because the Plan has such a wide audience, <br />including engineers, planners, developers, citizens, scientists and educators; electronic access <br />to the text and mapping creates a better understanding of the goals, policies and activities of <br />this Plan, as well as links to previous studies and tools that will help to make better decisions <br />on projects ranging from a development site plan to a backyard landscaping project. <br />The City will make an ongoing effort on both a City -wide and watershed level toward <br />educating the public by distributing information to its residents on responsible practices they <br />should employ to protect water resources throughout the City. The program can also educate <br />residents on better land use practices such as the benefits of using phosphorus -free fertilizer <br />and keeping grass clipping out of the streets.
