Request to Perform an Abatement for Unresolved Violations of City Code <br /> at 2486 Marion Street <br /> As previously noted, this item was removed from the agenda. <br /> e. Consider Brown-Wilbert Minor Subdivision <br /> Mayor Roe noted the rationale in hearing this item tonight, given the action <br /> deadline,previously extended by the applicant, of August 27, 2012. <br /> Associate Planner Bryan Lloyd reviewed the application review details, and <br /> noted that the issue had been tabled at a previous meeting of the City Council <br /> due to drainage issues in the area and lack of a snow storage plan from the ap- <br /> plicant. Mr. Lloyd noted that concerns had been raised by neighbors and Coun- <br /> cilmembers that this recombination could create additional of further degrade <br /> those drainage issues. Mr. Lloyd reviewed the application, to modify property <br /> boundaries; and subsequent review and acceptance by the City Engineer of the <br /> applicant's snow storage plan. Mr. Lloyd referenced a summary letter of the <br /> comments and concerns addressed with surrounding residential property owners <br /> at a meeting held earlier in August, and included in tonight's meeting materials. <br /> Councilmember McGehee questioned if there had been any significant headway <br /> in the final drainage plan for the broader area. <br /> City Engineer Bloom responded that the larger drainage mitigation project was <br /> scheduled for presentation and potential authorization by the City Council in the <br /> spring of 2014; with survey work just having begun this week, and an average <br /> of six (6) months needed to fully develop a project. Ms. Bloom advised that <br /> staff was committed to bring a project forward; and when it was ready, they <br /> would then advise residents of those plans and seek their input. <br /> Councilmember Willmus stated that he had a better understanding of the area <br /> after his personal review on site. However, Councilmember Willmus noted his <br /> concerns with water running downhill, as well as long-term land use issues with <br /> this parcel zoned LDR but combined with a parcel zoned Office/Business Park, <br /> and currently serving as a manufacturing plant.
