Roseville Human Rights Commission <br />May 16, 2012 - Draft Minutes <br />Page 8 of 8 <br />New Business <br />There was no new business to discuss. <br />Future Agenda Items <br />Items to consider in June include by -laws, adoption of the strategic plan, summer <br />programming and essay contest questions. <br />City Manager Malinen reminded Commissioners that the HRC meets with the City Council on July <br />16 and so the commission may want to review topic to discuss at its next meeting in June.. <br />Announcements <br />Carolyn Curti reported that the Falcon Heights Human Rights Commission is hosting a community <br />meeting on May 22, highlighting the Somali community. <br />Youth Commissioner Dao reported that the Falcon Heights Human Rights Commission and the <br />Minnesota United for All Families or anization is sponsoring a Wednesday evening phone -a -thon <br />discussion of marriage amendment and gay rights. <br />Chair Grefenberg said that on May 23 the Civic Engagement Task Force is meeting, followed by <br />the Outreach Committee i-s meeting on May 24 with neighboring human rights commissions. <br />Adjournment <br />Attachment: Memorandum from the Opposition to Marriage Amendment Resolution Drafting <br />Committee dated May 13, 2012, and initialed by Jill Brisbois <br />
