Meeting -- Cancel July 9, 2007 City Council meeting (for- <br />14 mer Consent Item 7.g) <br />15 Councilmember Roe expressed concern that all items on tonight's agenda <br />16 may not be heard given time constraints and noted the full agenda at other <br />17 J�uly meetings, questioning whether the July 9 meeting should be scheduled <br />18 and if no pertznent items needing action could be spent on 2008 budget items <br />19 to allow more substantial discussion. <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />Mayor Klausing noted the suggestion and wondered if staff's rationale was <br />due to the July 4th holiday week and preparation of the agenda and packet <br />delivery wiih light staffing and limited time with ihe holiday falling mid- <br />week. <br />26 Finance Director Mil�er advised thai the holiday was one consideration with <br />27 staff and consultants vacationing around the holiday and also noted that <br />28 while the other two mee�ings scheduled in July were full agendas, they al- <br />29 lowed some flexibiliiy with the July 16 meeting, nortnally a Study Session, <br />3� �eing a xegular Council meeting. <br />31 <br />32 Counciimember Pust expressed concern that a full month would go by with- <br />33 out a meeting and questioned i�E pertinent items could be handled and budget <br />34 presentations that wouldn't require consultant information. Councilmember <br />35 Pust noted that she didn't want to meet if not necessary but suggested the <br />36 Council wait until the end of tonight's meeting to determine the progress o� <br />37 tonight's agenda items. <br />38 <br />
