Mr. <br />Malinen encouraged individuai Councilmembers to provide their personal <br />goa�s, strategies and direction to staff over the next few �veeks as the 200$ <br />City Manager-recommended budget was compiled to allow sufficient time <br />for staff to provide cost and impact information to the City Council. <br />Mr. Malinen advised that tonight's presentation would be forwarded elec- <br />tronically to the City Council following tonight's presentation. <br />19 Councilmember Pust expressed her appreciation to staff for the five-year <br />20 history provided in their presentations. Councilmember Pust requested staff <br />21 to provide comparison impacts based on inflation factors consistentiy for <br />22 each department; and breakdowns and comparisons including and excluding <br />23 personnel costs. Discussion — Discuss Opexating Fund Rese�-ve Policy Presentation <br />Finance Director Miller presented the City's revised Operating Fund <br />Reserve Policy in markup form and with staff comments. Mr. Miller <br />also included an excerpt (Attachment A) of comments and recom- <br />mendations made by �pringstead from their recent analysis for the <br />City of Roseville of trends and fund balance guidelines. <br />36 Mr. Miller suggested that staff incorporate tonight's discussion into <br />37 draft resolution format for City Council consideration and action at <br />38 their upcoming regular business meeting; noting that i.he City Man- <br />
