During consolidation the committee recogYaizes the need to increase the span of <br />control whereby a supervisor has more subordinates to supervise and control. <br />S. If requested, personnel shall be assigned to similar or same jab functions presently <br />held if possible. <br />6. If requested, personnel shall be assigried geographically proximate to current loca <br />tion if passible. <br />7. Patrol districts shall be desighated by the Chief Executive Officer, and will not <br />necessarily be identical ta municipal, boundaries. <br />8. The agency will provide a single communications/dispatch system. <br />9, The agency will assume enforcement in county parks. <br />10. The agency will assume enforcement on lakes/waterways within county. <br />11. The agency shall be permitted to contract with other political subdivisions. <br />12. The agency shall be permitted to contract with private industry for pravision of <br />service. <br />13. The agency shall not have responsibility for either short or long term detention. <br />14. No general consensus was achieved on inclusion of the unique services presently <br />performed by the Sheriff's Department. See attachment. <br />15. The arganizatior� shouid be desigried to provide the maximum level of support to <br />individual officers in their efforts to create and maintain a safe environment for the <br />community. <br />16. The organization, through its officers, should promote partnerships with mem6ers of <br />the community who pursue similar objertives. <br />17. The organization should encourage innovative efforts of individual officers. <br />15 <br />
