Amoco's 8 inch and 1 D inch pipeffnes were laid in 1947�. Tanks were erected as <br />fol lows: <br />1946 9 tanks Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 <br />1947 1 tank No. 11 <br />1950 1 tank No. 12 <br />1971 1 tank No. 13 <br />Tank trucks have been loaded continuously from 1947 #o ihe present time. <br />Iar�k trucks are loaded 24 hours per day af both the Williams Pipe Line Company <br />terminai and the Amoco �il Company terminal. These trucks carry petroieum products <br />to customers throughout the metropolitan area and greater Minnesota. <br />Williams Pipe Line Company has installed product interface apparatus beF�ind a fence <br />on the west side of Lexington Avenue. This appara#us detects and aierts the pipeline <br />terminal personnel of a change in product nearing the terminal. Amoco Pipeline <br />Company has similar equipment in Littie Canada. <br />Northern States Power Company (NSP) brought natural gas to Roseviffe in 1954, when <br />it constructed its natural gas transmission system and its natural gas distribution <br />system. NSP has expanded its distribution system to meet the needs o# the City's <br />residents and commercial and industrial establishments. <br />The transmission system consists of a pipe�ine in ihe boulevards of Rice Street, County <br />Road B and Hamiine Avenue. A gas regula#or installation is housed in a building at <br />Rice Street and County Road B. The distribution sytem pipelines in virtually a!i <br />Roseville streets serve resicfential, institutionai, commercia! and industrial customers. <br />Gas regulators (pressure regulators and pressure refief valves} are installed throughout <br />this system. <br />Additional information can be found in Chapters 4 and 9 regarding the petrole�m <br />praduct pipelines and terminals and tt�e natural gas systems. <br />According to Roseville� The Story of its Growth, nearly 1400 residents of Rose <br />Township voted to incorporate a portion of its area into what is known as Roseville. <br />Some records indicate (unofficially} that there were about 4fi00 residents inciuding <br />those not eligible to vote. Rosevifle became incorporated in 'E948. <br />2-2 <br />
