fiammable liquids. When used with fresh, sea, or brackish water and foam generating
equipment, AFFFIATC is transformed into a vapor-blanketing foam with exceflent
extinguishing and securing abilities. The eifectEVeness of AFFF/ATC on a wide range
of flammable liquids and ordinary combustibles can eliminate the need to stock a
variety of frreghting agenis. AFFFlATC is available in 3K3 or 3Xfi concentrations.
AFFF/ATC is recommended fior use in a wide variety of firefighting foam application
devices. Examples are foam chambers, forcing foam makers, and aspirating foam
nozzles. In addition, practical applications have been demonstrated in a number of
discharge devices such as non-aspirating sprirkler, rater spay nozzl, an
n•aterffog nozzles.
AFFF/ATC is effectiv in subsur#ace injection systems for gasoline, crude oil, and most
water insoiuble hydrocarbons. The subsurface injection system utilizing AFFF/ATC
foam is the safest, most reliable system ior the fixed protection of storage tanks of
water insoluble hydrocarbons.
AFFF/ATC is UL listed on both hydrocarbon and polar salvent liquids through standard
sprinkler heads. 1n addition, AFFFIATC is also listed for use with handfine nozzles
and foaen chambers for top side tnk protectior.
When stored in accordance with the manufacture's recommendations, AFFF/ATC foam
has good stabiliiy. Annual inspection of systems as prescribed in NFPA 1 is
recommended. It should noi be mixed with other agents.
