The basin is almost entirely reed canary nrass with glossy buckthorn, aspen, and green <br />ash along the ec�be. This site appears to be a candidate for vegetative restoration. It appears to provide good wildlife habitat. A forest of <br />reed canary grass, sumac, hazelnut, glossy buckthorn, white oak, boxelder, American elm, <br />cottanwood, and aspen buffer the wetland from the street and houses. <br />Com�munity LL-W7 <br />Wet Meadow/Shallow Marsh <br />Qualitative Rank: Low <br />Area: 1.2 acres <br />This is primariiy a reed canary �ass monotypc. The reed canaz-y grass encroaches into the upland <br />before givin� way to forest. On the south sicie is a largc business area and parkin� lot. A small, <br />excavated hole near the center contains open water with water plantain and duckweed.
