At the time of the field <br />visit, wood chips from a lot clearing to the east had encraached into the edge of the pond. <br />The surface of the pond was completely cave� with duckweed. This aliowed for little <br />observance of water color or other pondweeds_ <br />The ed�c ot the pond is a dense coverage of sandbar willow and silvcr rr�aple. There was <br />evidence that raccoon and woodchuck use the fringe area of the pond.
