ROSEVILLE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION <br />Meeting Minutes <br />May 27, 1999 <br />The meeting was called to order at 5:15pm. <br />Members Present: Jack Weidenbach, Jed Ipsen, and Bob King <br />I►�iC�ii1T��G1. -'�ifi��[•TiT� <br />Others Present: Paul Wood, Police Chief; Tom Alleva, Deputy Police Chief; <br />and Karen Kurt, Human Resources Director. <br />New Business <br />Minutes from the meeting head on September 4, 1998 were distributed for <br />approval. <br />Motian: King moved that the minutes be appro�ed. Weidenbach seconded. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Chief Wood reviewed the resu[ts of the testing process for the position of Police <br />�fficer. Forty-three candidates participa�ted in the written exam and physical <br />agility exercise. �ne candidate was disqualified based on the physical portion. <br />The Department is recommending that a score of 65 or above be approved as <br />passing the written exam. This score would be consistent with the <br />recommendation of the tesiing vendor. <br />Motion: King moved a score of 65 or higher be approved as a passing score for <br />the writfen exam. Ipsen seconded. Motion passed unanimously. <br />The issue of education requirements for the position of Sergeant was postponed <br />to the next meeting_ <br />The commission noted thafi it wou[d be appropriate to conduct elections during <br />this meeting, and added elections as an�.,ag.e.nda item. <br />Motion: Weidenbach nominated Bob King to serve as Chair, Jeb Ipsen to serve <br />as Vice Chair, and himself to serve as secretary. King seconded. Motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />, ;i, � <br />
