AttachmentA <br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />1 <br />OF THE <br />2 <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />3 <br />4 <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />5 <br />6 <br />7Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />8of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 15th day of October, <br />92012 , at 6:00 p.m. <br />10 <br />11The following members were present: <br />12 <br />13 and the following were absent: <br />14 <br />15Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />16 <br />RESOLUTION No. <br />17 <br />18 <br />Part-Time Firefighter PERA Declaration <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22WHEREAS, the policy of the State of Minnesota as declared in Minnesota Statutes <br />23353.63 is to give special consideration to employees who perform hazardous work and <br />24devote their time and skills to protecting the property and personal safety of others; and <br />25 <br />26WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes Section 353.64 permits governmental subdivisions to <br />27request coverage in the Public Employees Police and Fire plan for a non-full-time fire <br />28fighter provided the fire service position regularly engages the employee in the hazards of <br />29fire fighting as an employee of a designated fire department. <br />30 <br />31NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Roseville City Council, of The City of <br />32Roseville, Minnesota hereby declares that the position of part-time Firefighters, currently <br />33held by David Doucot employee # 50314; Anton Fehrenbach – employee # 50311; John <br />34Huber– employee # 50321; Thomas Alexander – employee # 50269; Gretchen Johnson – <br />35employee 50315; Jody Kelting – employee 50312; Nick Krueger – employee #50320; <br />36Tom Liberkowski – employee #50318; Tom Martinez – employee # 50317; Patrick <br />37McKee – employee #50313; Erin Stone – employee #50319; Peter Tierney – employee <br />38#50316, for primary services provided, that of a firefighter engaged in the hazards of fire <br />39fighting. <br />40 <br />41BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this governing body hereby requests that the named <br />42employees be accepted as a member of the Public Employees Police and Fire Plan <br />43effective the date of the employee’s initial Police and Fire Plan salary deduction by the <br />44governmental subdivision. <br />45 <br /> <br />
