Meeting Minutes <br />Ethics Commission <br />August 8, 2012 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Ethics Training Event on April 10, 2013. C ity Manager Malinen indicated he would <br />review the date for potential conflicts. Th e Commission discussed the possibility of a <br />start time at 5:30 p.m., presentation at 6:00 p.m. and a conclusion at 7:15 p.m., however <br />they thought this arrangement might be too lengthy as well. The Commission discussed <br />potential speakers for 2013 including Mark Anfinson with the MN Newspaper <br />Association and Don Gamberling with the MN Department of Administration. The <br />Commission agreed that the presentation for 2013 should be linked to our City Code. <br />O’Brien and Collopy agreed to work with th e City Manager as a planning committee for <br />next year’s event reporting their findings in November. <br /> <br /> <br />V. Discuss Ethics Tip <br />Fjelstad prepared the Ethics Tip, “The 2012 Political Season is in Full Swing” relating to <br />elections and code. The Commission discusse d placing a set of all Ethics Tips on the <br />Website for public view. Pederson agreed to prepare the next Ethics Tip. <br /> <br />VI. Other Business <br />None. <br /> <br />VII.
