They include: 31 <br /> 32 <br /> Rental Registration: Mid-Year (Jan 1-June 30) 33 <br /> Rental Registration: Administrative Fine 34 <br /> Residential Seasonal Pool Permit Fee 35 <br /> Minor Subdivision Escrow 36 <br /> 37 <br />A brief description of these new fees is shown below. 38 <br /> 39 <br />Rental Registration: Mid-Year & Administrative Fine 40 <br />Staff proposes to add two new fees re lated to the City’s Rental Registration Program. The first is for mid-41 <br />year registration (Jan. 1 – June 30), the fee will be half of the normal fee or $12.50. The second is to add 42 <br />an administrative fine as permitted under Chapter 907, whic h allows the City to assess the fine for owners 43 <br />who don’t register with the City. The fine is proposed to be $100 per unit. 44 <br /> 45 <br />Residential Seasonal Pool Fee 46 <br />Staff proposes a new seasonal pool f ee to cover the costs of regulating temporary, non-permanent backyard 47 <br />pools. 48 <br /> 49 <br />Minor Subdivision Escrow Fee 50 <br />This fee was previously lumped in with the sa me fee for a regular subdivision escrow fee of $1,500 51 <br />minimum. A new fee is recommended for minor subdivisions at a $500 minimum to more accurately 52 <br />reflect the staff time necessary to review minor subdivisions. 53 <br /> 54 <br />P OLICY O BJECTIVE 55 <br />Adopting an annual fee schedule is consistent with govern mental best practices and ensures that the City’s 56 <br />regulatory functions are properly funded. 57 <br />F INANCIAL I MPACTS 58 <br />Based on the recommended fee adjustments, it is proj ected that revised fees will generate revenues 59 <br />sufficient to cover the City’s added regulatory costs.
