He indicated Maplewood was still seeking a religious speaker for this <br />5o forum. <br />51 <br />52 Chair Grefenberg explained the City received five applications for the open HRC seat. He <br />53 indicated he participated in interviewing three of those candidates and a recommendation was <br />54 made to the City CounciL The Council will make the final decision at their next meeting. <br />55 <br />56 Chair Grefenberg thanked the Youth Commissioners for gaining interest from three youth in the <br />57 community interested in serving on the HRC. He explained an interview committee met on <br />58 October 9 and interviewed these applicants for the current vacancy. <br />59 <br />60 Chair Grefenberg discussed the importance further outreach efforts. Chair Grefenberg stated <br />72 each member received a description from Program Directar Doneen that indicates a new date and <br />73 location for this panel. He reiterated this event would take place on October 29, 2012 from <br />74 7:00-8:30 p.m. at St. Michael's Lutheran Church. Ms. <br />Curti se�� said Commissioner poneen had approved of the panel title. <br />Commissioner Thao expressed concern with the title of the panel and suggested the title be <br />revised to address �e-strictly the Marriage Amendment. <br />82 Chair Grefenberg stated the aim was to provide a religious perspective on this issue from local <br />83 pastors and theologians. He ��:;e�s�s€� noted the pastors that � agreed to take part in the <br />g4 panel. He questioned if another title for the panel should be considered. <br />85 <br />86 <br />87 <br />88 <br />89 <br />90 <br />91 <br />92 <br />Commissioner Brisbois suggested Religious Perspectives on Same Sex Marriage. <br />Chair Grefenberg and Commissioner Groff agreed with this recommendation. <br />Commissioner Thao supported the suggestion as wellz stating this was a better compromise for <br />the panel title. <br />
