Introductions /Public Comment Invited Commissioners and staff will be introduced. Public participation and public comment is encouraged. 2. Approval of Minutes of the December 4, 2012 Meeting Enclosed is a copy of the minutes of December 4, 2012. Please be prepared to approve or amend. Requested Commission Action: Approve /amend minutes of the meeting of December 4, 2012 3. Park and Recreation Renewal Program The following information is included in your packet: • Revised Public Engagement Strategy (dated January 2, 2013) • Spreadsheet with a draft Implementation Schedule (dated December 26, 2012) Park Improvement draft meeting schedule (dated January 3, 2013) The Public Engagement Strategy is revised from your December meeting and is your second look. The draft Implementation spreadsheet includes the project location, project description and meeting type and date. Adjustments can and may be made at this point. The draft Park Improvement meeting schedule outlines a strategy and meeting dates. Adjustments can and may be made at this point. Staff will be prepared to summarize this information for you at your meeting. Please review and be prepared to offer your thoughts, comments and suggestions. The Natural Resource and Trails Subcommittee met again on January 2, 2013 and is moving forward with the Reservoir Woods Project, Langton Lake Project, B2 Project and the coordination of the Pathway Master Plan and the Parks and Recreation Constellation Concepts. Commissioner Doneen and staff will provide additional information to you at the meeting. Further comments and suggestions from the Commission are encouraged. Any new progress will be reported at the meeting. Requested Commission Action: Discuss new progress and provide input 4. 2013 Commission Meeting Calendar At your December meeting you finalized all your monthly meeting dates for 2013 except for the months of June, August, September and November. The June meeting will be the annual joint meeting with the City Council at their meeting on a Monday night, either on June 10 or June 17th. Typically, the Parks and Recreation Commission are on one of those dates with the Public Works Commission taking the other. If you have a preference, we can request either the 10th or 17th. In August, you typically have met at 8 p.m. on your regular first Tuesday of the month to allow Commissioners to attend their Night to Unite neighborhood event. You can meet at 8 p.m. again or select another date, day, time and possibly even consider a tour this month.
