Develop a process to assess city <br />government. .. so that city activities, <br />programs and services may be <br />understandable and responsive to a <br />diverse citizenry. ✓COMPLETED <br />with Neighborhood and Community <br />Engagement Task Fo�ce Final <br />Report on October I Sth <br />� Upon completion of the Task Force's <br />Repo�t this spring the Comrnission may <br />need to consider any follow-up actions. <br />2.2 Policy Intent or Practice: The City should <br />widely publicize openings on all <br />commissions and ad hoc groups and <br />encourage residents to apply. <br />We recommend tbe City: <br />a) Fully utilize existing print and electronic means to <br />announce openings on city commissions and task forces. <br />Such means include but are not limited to the Roseville <br />City News, Roseville Patch, Roseville Review, Roseville <br />Issues Forum, and the neighborhood network NextDoor. <br />b) Pursue outreach efforts aimed at underrepresented <br />groups. <br />2.3 Policy Intent or Practice: The city should <br />develop and enforce an absence policy for <br />commassaons. <br />We recommend tbe City: <br />a) Request staff report to the City Council when any <br />commissioner misses more than four meetings in a rolling <br />twelve month period. <br />3) Engage Roseville Renters and Non- <br />Single-Family Homeowners <br />31 Proposed Intent or Policy: The city should <br />engage rente�s as it does homeowners. <br />We recommend the City: <br />a) Include renters/leasers (both residenrial and business) <br />and residents of co-ops and assisted living facilities in any <br />communications iniriatives (such as the recent adoprion of <br />Nextdoor, a neighborhood networking tool) to facilitate <br />their engagement. <br />b) Include renters/leasers (both residential and business) <br />and residents of co-ops and assisted living facilities in the <br />notifications process pertaining to zoning changes and <br />planning issues (as with property owners). <br />4) Provide Public Participation <br />Support, Training, and Resources <br />4.1 Policy Intent oN Practice: The city should <br />sponso� administrative supports to foster <br />more effective volunteerism and public <br />participation.
