He indicated he has made the HRC a priarity for the past <br />iive years. He ��said his-goals and objections derived in the past have been reached <br />and he was pleased this was done under his leadership. He indicated he would continue on <br />growing partnerships with businesses in the community while also reaching out to minority <br />groups. He noted he had the support of the current chair and had a great working relationship <br />with Chair Grefenberg. He requested the support of the members as Vice Chair. <br />A vote was taken by secret ballot, as requested by the Commission. Cit_y Mana eg r Bill <br />announced the results as four for Brisbois, two for Singleton, and one abstention. Jill Brisbois <br />was elected as HRC Vice-Chair ^*' *��. <br />Chair Grefenberg and Commissioner Brisbois thanked Vice-Chair Singleton for his service to the <br />��Human Ri�ht Commission: <br />Future Agenda Items <br />Chair Grefenberg questioned if the g�e� Commission needed to meet in December. <br />Commissioner Thao moved and Commissioner poneen seconded a motion to cancel the <br />December HRC meeting. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Announcements <br />Chair Grefenberg stated there was a Minnesota Human Rights Conference this weekend. He <br />noted the event would be held in St. Paul and cost $85. <br />Commissioner Brisbois reviewed the conference information with the group. <br />Commissioner Groff and Youth Commissioner Laden were able to attend the event on Saturday. <br />Commissioner Singleton and Youth Commissioner Dao were able to attend the conference on <br />Monday. <br />Chair Grefenberg moved and Commissioner Groff seconded a motion to provide funding for <br />four HRC members to attend an upcoming seminar. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Adjournment <br />Commissioner Groff moved and Commissioner Brisbois seconded a motion to adjourn. Motion <br />passed unanimously.
