RETHINKP9 <br />RECYCLING. <br />3. Develop performance measures that track progress toward the achievement <br />of the Region's recycling, organics recovery, processing and reuse objectives <br />included within the State's 2030 Solid Waste Policy Plan; <br />4. Annually report to the MPCA regarding progress in meeting the Policy Plan <br />objectives, including challenges and opportunities for future improvement; <br />and <br />5. Encourage the inclusion of yard waste in any calculation of organics recovery <br />for the Region. <br />In partnership with the MPCA, the SWMCB will: <br />6. Support full measurement of State, Regional and individual county waste <br />management progress so as to improve overall accountability and better <br />identify when changes to the current system are required; <br />7. Support the MPCA as it expands facility permitting and the reporting of solid <br />waste data; <br />8. Align SCORE and other data so that it is consistent and aligns with the <br />integrated reporting recommendations in the MPCA's SCORE revamp report; <br />9. Continue providing data to the MPCA so that it can measure source reduction <br />and reuse at the state level and determine the effectiveness of pilot projects <br />and other new strategies; and <br />10.Rely on the MPCA to evaluate and update Policy Plan objectives, as <br />necessary, based on updated solid waste data. <br />2011 -2030 Regional Solid Waste Master Plan <br />Approved by the Solid Waste Management Coordinating Board on December 14, 2011 Appendix V Page 31 <br />
