EKTRACTOFMWUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held on the 22nd day of June, 1998, at 6:30 p.m. The following members were present: Goedeke, Maschka, Mastel, Wall, and Wiski; and the following members were absent: None. Council Member Mastel introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 9559 GRANTING A VARIANCE TO REDUCE THE SIDE YARD SETBACK AT 1720 CHA TSWORTH STREET NORTH WHEREAS, Section 1012.018 of the Roseville City Code requires a side yard setback of five feet for platted lots or parcels of record existing on May 21, 1959; and WHEREAS, Lois Nyman has requested a variance to reduce the north side yard setback to three feet for the purpose of constructing an eight-foot addition to an attached single car garage at 1720 Chatsworth Street North, legally described as follows: The North 75 feet of the South 508 feet (more or less) of part of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter, Section 14, Township 29 - Range 23 (PIN 142923340015); and WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on the request on Wednesday, May 27, 1998, and recommended approval of the requested variance; and WHEREAS, the Roseville City Council received the Planning Commission's recommendation on Monday, June 22, 1998, and WHEREAS, the Roseville City Council made the following findings: 1. Section 1012.01 (8) of the City Code requires a side yard setback of five feet for a parcel existing on May 21, 1959. The existing house is setback 10 feet from the north property line.
