_ FINANCIAL IMPACTS <br />2 We received six bids for the 2013 Sanitary Sewer Main Lining Project. A bid alternate was <br />z���� included in the event bid prices were favorable, allowing for an increase in the project without a <br />z change order. The low bidder for each alternate was a different contractor. The low bid for Total <br />z��� B(Segment 1 plus Segment 2 plus Segment 3), submitted by SAK Construction, LLC, <br />2� $1,174,835.25, is within the budgeted amount for this project. However, staff recommends <br />�� eliminating one pipe segment from Segment 3. The per foot cost far a 36" diameter pipe was <br />2� significantly higher than anticipated due to higher traffic in the project area. Staff will evaluate <br />s� other alternatives for this segment, or include it in a future project. The revised contract total is <br />s� $1,150,835.25. We recalculated the low two bids to ensure that there was no change in low bidder <br />s as a result of eliminating this segment.
