OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant [0 due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of [he City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City Hall in said Ciry <br />on Monday, the 27th day of July, 1998, at 6: 30 p. m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Maschka, Mastel, Goedeke, Wiski and Wall <br />and the following were absenr: None <br /> <br />Council Member Wiski <br /> <br />introduced the foHowing Resolution and moved its adoption <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9567 <br /> <br />DENYING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />fOR AN AUTO SERVICE INSTALLATION/ACCESSORY FACILITY <br />AT 2561 SNELLING AVENUE NORTH <br /> <br />WHEREAS, National Tire and Battery has requested a conditional use pennir to construct <br />and operate a retail auto accessory sales and service facility at 2561 Snelling Avenue North, <br />owned by the Knights of Columbus, and legally describ~d as: <br /> <br />East 395 feet of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 9, Township <br />29, Range 23, Ramsey County, Minnesota, except the North 767 feet and except the <br />South 335 feet thereof (subjec[ to State Trunk Hwy 51, according to the US Govt survey <br />thereof, Ramsey County, MN) [PIN 092923110073]. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council, at its July 27, 1998, meeting denied that request by a vote <br />of 4-1 ; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to set forth its reasons for denial; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Roseville: <br /> <br />The Chy Council hereby sets forth the following findings as its reasons for denying the above <br />application: <br /> <br />1. The National Tire and Battery application for a conditional use permit to construct <br />an auto service installatioI1/accessory facility at 2561 Snelling Avenue North is <br />incompatible with the comprehensive plan, the James Addition Task Force plan <br />amendment recommendations and the requisite findings for a conditional use <br />permit in a B-2 zoning district. <br />
