In addition to the regular commission members, the <br />Council may a�oint additional residents of the city, under the age of 21, to serve one year terms <br />as ex of�cio �nembers of a commission. <br />All members of the cominission shall be residents of the ci <br />Members are ap�ointed bv the Council. <br />201.04 TERMS <br />Members shall serve terms of three years, except that of the first members a�ointed following <br />the creation of the commission. One third of commissioners shall be a�pointed for three-.� <br />terms, one third for two-_year terms and one third for a one year term. A member's term shall <br />expire on March 31 of the year of expiration of the term, or until a successor is a�ointed. <br />Members are eli�ible, to serve two consecutive terms. U�on com�letion of term(s) on one <br />commission, members are eli�ible far consideration to another commission. Former <br />commissioners are eli�ible for appointment to a commission after an absence of one vear. <br />Members mav be removed bv the Council, without cause. <br />Vacancies d�urin� a term may be filled b,y the Council for the unexpired portion of a term. A <br />vacancy occurs if anyo uf the followin� occurs: resi�nation, residence outside the city or death. A <br />coinmissioner ap�ointed to fill a partial term is eli�ible to serve up to two full terms. <br />No Coininissioner mav serve on more than one commission at the same time. <br />An unexcused absence is defined as a commissioner not notif,�g staff of their absence prior to <br />the meetin�. <br />If a commissioi�er has an uneXCUSed absence from more than three consecutive commission <br />ineetings or is absent from more than half of the meetings in one twelve month period, staff shall <br />notify the City Council, and the commissioner may be removed. <br />Ever��pointed member, before be_i� nning his or her duties, shall take an oath of office that he <br />or she will faithfiilly discharge the duties of the co�nn�ission to which he or she was a�pointed. <br />
