Proposed Changes to February 25 Minutes Starting Page 2, Line 33 and replacing everything to Page 5,Line 42: (Complete Change Mr. Grefenberg spoke to bring three issues to the Council's attention. 1. Mr. Grefenberg spoke in favor of Council support for the autonomy of the Council appointed Commissions. Mr. Grefenberg reported an incident where he had been unable to seek direct staff assistance to correct an audio problem brought to his attention by Council members. Mr. Grefenberg provided, as a bench handout, attached hereto and made a part hereof, a thread of correspondence related to this issue. 2. Mr. Grefenberg addressed issues regarding the process and report developed during the process for the selection of a consulting company to create a new website for the city. Mr. Grefenberg reported that the committee, of which he was a member, had worked very hard and had reached unanimous agreement on the principles and direction to be used in the selection process. He was then disappointed and disheartened to find that the report of the meetings was not in any representative of the conclusions or direction recommended by the Committee. He offered, in support of his position, an e-mail from Jill Anfang, Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation, and a member of the Committee to City Manager Malinen, also stating disappointment with the report being supplied to the Council. 3. Mr. Grefenberg wished to publicly thank all the members of the Human Rights Commission, and Megan Dushin for her facililtation, for their work on the Meadowlark Grant which they received. This grant awarded the HRC $2,500.00 to hold two public forums to address issues of public violence. The HRC will be planning these forums for later this year and will keep the public and Council appraised of the progress. Following Mr. Grefenberg's comments, Mayor Roe thanked Mr. Grefenberg for his work. He assured Mr. Grefenberg that the Advisory Commission Subcommittee would take his comments under advisement. He further concurred with Mr. Grefenberg that the Committee for Vendor Selection meet one more time to review their report before it comes to the Council. Mr. Malinen advised that a meeting with the Committee for the Website Vendor Selection would be held to allow the Committee to review and modify the report coming to the Council. Mr. Willmus requested, and Mayor Roe concurred,that Mr. Grefenberg make sure all Council Members received a copy of the e-mail correspondence referenced regarding website issues, a copy of which is attached herein and made a part hereof.
