Use locally-produced, salvaged, and/or <br />manufactured materials, products with recycled content or from r <br />or reusable materials, and low-VOC-emitting materials. <br />Reduce waste. Reduce and manage wastes generated during the construction process and <br />operation of buildings. Sort and recycle leftover materials an <br />City Review Process <br />An Applicant (may be a builder with an identified buyer, a buyer with an ident <br />without an identified buyer) reviews proposed project with HRA staff before plans are finaliz. <br />1.The Applicant submits a Preliminary Application at least 2 weeks prior to the HRA meeting (HRA <br />Board meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month) where the application will be reviewed. The <br />Preliminary Application consists of the following: <br />a. Application Form <br />b.$500 application fee <br />c.Copy of signed contract or letter of intent between Builder and Homeowner <br />d.Proposed lot <br />e.Preliminary house plans including elevations <br />f.Description of Green Community features & name of certification program (projects that <br />obtain LEED, MN GreenStar, or Minnesota Green Communities certif <br />$5,000 rebate from the City) <br />If the Applicant is a builder without an identified buyer the builders must attend the HRA meeting to <br />present their proposal.
