42. Difficult for new people to "break" into the community. <br />43. Unless you belong to a church and/or have kids it is difficult to feel connected especially if you <br />are elderly. <br />44. Neighborhood watch. <br />45. Community happens when you have a sense of being nurtured by those around you. <br />46. I felt a strong sense of community and safe last year when the HRC had a hearing on the <br />proposed marriage amendment. Despite the hateful ppl, the overwhelming number of ppl that <br />were supportive of ine as a gay man, despite having to vested interest themselves was very <br />awesome and made me feel very safe. <br />47. Monthly neighborhood gatherings — learning to know neighbors with varied backgrounds. <br />48. Block parties and other neighborhood gatherings. <br />49. Location/proximity to library, parks, shopping, the arts, school community centers, farmer's <br />market. <br />50. Being connected via communication. <br />51. Well used park system — sports, concerts, plays, provides a meeting place for residents. <br />52. People who have same values make community more comfortable. <br />53. Community has evolved — more diverse than used to be. <br />54.
