Commissioners felt it was unclear as to what projects werebeing <br />76completed as part of the renewalphase and what was not. Schroeder explained that each <br />77preliminary plan conceptualizes the park in a “bigpicture”in orderto bring to light any <br />78issues and/or ideas that may have been missedor that may be able to be incorporatedand <br />79also sets the park up for the future. <br />80 <br />81Schroeder expressed the interest of the community and guidance in the Master Plan to <br />82suggest that the parks in Roseville be elevated to a new level with the Renewal Program. <br />83This effort is not treated like a shopping expedition but rather a thoughtful, diligent approach <br />84to the future. <br />85 <br />86D. Holt commented that what is being done nowas part of the Renewal Programaligns with <br />87the Master Plan andisnot intended to be the end of improvements to the system in the future. <br />88 <br />89AUTUMN GROVE PARK <br />90Staff reviewed the Renewal Program projects and budgets. Commission discussion and <br />91commentson the Autumn Grove Park Preliminary Plans included the need to providea <br />92balance for parking needs and thepotential safety hazards with on road parking. Gelbach <br />93suggesteddiscussingshared parking with Advent Lutheran Church located across the street. <br />94Schroeder indicated thatthese weresimilar topics and discussion at the neighborhood <br />95meetings. <br />96 <br />97Azer indicated that it was evident that pedestrian transportation is of high importance in the <br />98community and it keeps coming up. There was discussion on the feasibility of a bridge or <br />99tunnel for safe moving. Schroeder expressed some of the challenges to this including span <br />100lengths, expense and necessary ramps.D. Holt encouraged commission members to go out <br />101and visit the site and provide ideas and input to Schroeder and Evenson. <br /> <br />
