City of Roseville <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1436 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SELECTED TEXT OF CHAPTERS 1001 (INTRODUCTION) <br /> AND 1011 (PROPERTY PERFORMANCE STANDARDS)OF TITLE 10"ZONING CODE" OF <br /> THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE <br /> THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE ORDAINS: <br /> SECTION 1. Purpose: The Roseville City Code is hereby amended to correct simple errors in <br /> syntax, spelling,and organization. <br /> SECTION 2. Chapter 1001 is hereby amended as follows: <br /> 1001.10 Definitions <br /> DAY CARE,FAMILY: As defined in Minnesota rules, means: Day care for no more than 10 <br /> children at one time or of which nor no more than 6 are under school age. The licensed <br /> capacity must include all children of any caregiver when the children are present in the <br /> residence. <br /> LOT LINE,FRONT: The boundary of a lot which abuts an existing, dedicated or officially <br /> mapped street. In the case of a lot abutting more than one street, the owner may choose <br /> any street lot line as the front lot line, with the consent of Community Development <br /> Department,based on the effects of such choice on development of the lot itself or on <br /> adjacent properties. <br /> SECTION 3. Chapter 1011 is hereby amended as follows: <br /> 1011.08 Fences in All Districts <br /> A. General Requirements: Fences may be constructed,placed, or maintained in any yard <br /> or adjacent to a lot line in accordance with these requirements. <br /> 1. The owner of the property upon which a fence is located shall be responsible for <br /> locating all property lines prior to constructing said fence. <br /> 2. All fence posts and supporting members shall be placed within the property lines <br /> of the property on which the fence is located. <br /> 3. Fences in front yards shall not exceed 4 feet in height. Notwithstanding this <br /> limitation, fences in front yards which are adjacent to the side or rear yards of <br /> abutting lots may be as tall at 6.5 feet. <br /> 4. Fence height shall be measured from the average grade adjacent to the bottom of <br /> the fence to the top of the fence material. Fence posts may extend an additional 6 <br /> inches. <br /> 5. All fences shall be constructed so that the finished side or more attractive side of <br /> • the fence faces the adjacent property or the public right-of-way. <br /> 6. All fences shall be constructed of durable, uniform, weather-resistant, and rust- <br /> proofed materials. <br /> 7. All fences shall be maintained and kept in good condition. <br />
