Process residuals does <br />not include clean, separated products that are normally processed and <br />prepared for shipment to markets as commodities but are of relatively low - <br />value because of depressed market demand conditions. <br />4.37 Processing <br />The sorting, volume reduction, baling, containment or other preparation of <br />recyclable materials delivered to the processing center for transportation or <br />marketing purposes. <br />4.38 Processing center <br />A recycling facility in which recyclable materials are processed. The facility <br />will conform to all applicable rules, regulations and laws of state, local or <br />other jurisdictions. <br />4.39 Processing Fee <br />Agreed upon unit fee allocated t wards Contractor's c processing <br />various types of recyclables. <br />4.43 Steel cans <br />Disposable containers fabricated primarily of steel or tin used for food or <br />beverages. <br />4.44 Walk- Up Service <br />A service where the driver will walk up to the resident's garage door, stoop <br />or other designated spot to collect recyclable material for loading onto the <br />truck. The driver then returns the bins /carts to the same location. The City <br />will compile a list of seniors, disabled and /or special needs residents who <br />request such service. <br />4.45 Waste <br />Any delivered recyclable material that is deemed by the processor to be <br />unable to be marketed into recycled content products.
