<<0 1 Jy Update The City's Contractor, North Valley, will start work on this construction project the week of May 6. The construction work will begin with removal of the concrete curb and gutter, followed closely by replacement. A number of utility structures, catch basins and manholes, will be repaired as well. Following curb replacement and structure repair, the contractor will grind up the bituminous pavement and then repave. What follows is the preliminary schedule for when work will start on the various street segments: Week of May 6 • Commerce St (250 ft east of Snelling Svc Dr E To Albert St) • Eldridge Ave (Fry St (East) To Fry St (West)) • Fry St (Co Rd B To Eldridge Ave) • Fry St (Eldridge Ave To Skillman Ave) Week of May 13 • Dellwood Street (Co Rd B To Roselawn Ave) Week of June 3 • Grandview Ave (Saint Albans St To Cul -De -Sac) • Cope Ave (Grotto St To Dale St) Week of June 10 • Iona Lane (Dale St To Western Ave) • Lovell Ave (Grotto St To Dale St) The contractor's schedule is weather dependent. If we get rain, there will be delays. The website will be updated weekly as the schedule progresses. The Contractor will maintain access during construction. If you have special access needs, please let us know. If there are curb and gutter repairs at your driveway and /or concrete replacement on your driveway, there will be a five -day period to harden or "cure" the concrete. During that time, you will be able to park in the street in front of your property. Utility Flags To protect against underground utility damage, Xcel Energy, Comcast and Centuryl-ink will locate their underground utilities by spray painting and placing flags in the boulevard. Attachment A 2013 Pavement Management Project Gas Main Replacement Xcel Gas has informed the City that they intend to replace the gas main on the following street segments: • Iona Lane (Dale St To Western Ave) • Lovell Ave (Grotto St To Dale St) Xcel will begin work on Lovell Ave the week of May 6, then move on to Iona Lane. The City's Contractor will start work on these street segments once Xcel is done. Private Improvements in the Right of Way Curbs designated for removal will be marked by May 3. Underground sprinklers, electrical for yard lights, perennial gardens, or invisible fences installed within 10 or 15 feet of the curb marked for removal, may need to be removed. Removal and reinstallation of these items is the responsibility of the property owner. We recommend that you mark, with paint or flags, the location of underground wires or sprinklers immediately. If you are not sure if your improvements are in the way, please call Dean Findell. These items should be removed from the city right - of- way before work on your street segment starts. If these items are not removed, the contractor will damage them during construction. The City will not pay to repair or replace these items.
