<br />..;- <br /> <br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held on the 220d day of March, <br />1999, at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mastel, Goedeke, Maschka, Wall <br /> <br />and the following were absent: Wiski <br /> <br />Council Member Goedeke introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9646 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION GRANTING A HEIGHT VARIANCE <br />FOR LYNDALE GARDEN CENTER,2525 NORTH SNELLING AVENUE <br />ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA <br />(PF3096) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Lyndale Garden Center (tenant) and Capitol City Investments, Ltd. <br />(owner) have requested approval of a height variance to allow a 6-foot high wrought <br />iron fence in a front yard, at 2525 North Snelling Avenue, where a 4-foot height is the <br />requirement for security and safety purposes; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on the <br />request on February 10, 1999, and recommended approval of a two foot height variance <br />for a security and safety fence with the fence setback of one foot from all right-of-way <br />lines, based on the findings (Section 3) and conditions (Section 4)ofthe staff report of <br />February 10, 1999; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville City Council received the Planning Commission's <br />recommendation and made the following findings/conditions: <br /> <br />1) The fence shall be located at the setback from the property line <br />established in the conditional use permit for display and sales. <br />2) The fence height shall not exceed 6 feet. <br />3) The fence may have a lockable materials delivery gate at the northeast <br />side of the site where an existing driveway serves the site. <br />4) No banners, signs or plant material displays may be hung on the fence. <br />
