<br /> <br /> <br />Sandcastle Park <br />Implementation Planning Session One <br />4 May 2013 <br />9 Attendees signed in <br /> <br />Meeting input <br /> <br />Following an overview of the Parks and Recreation Renewal Progra <br />Sandcastle Park, work session participants were asked to respond to questions about the <br />evolution of the park under the renewal program. Responses are included in this summary. <br /> <br />Meeting participants noted, as had occurred during the System Ma <br />that this part of Roseville seems disconnected and distant from <br />For parks and recreation services, they feel nearby parks in SaiAnthony are currently <br />serving many of their needs. <br /> <br />Exercise One Issues <br /> <br />As a large group, participants were asked to share their thoughts about issues that needed <br />to be resolved at Sandcastle Park. Responses included: <br /> <br />Kids want to go to Watertower Park or Walking paths dont go anywhere; more <br />Wilshire Park (of note, they dont want to connections are needed; no easy crossings <br />go to Sandcastle to visit the building) of major roads <br />Distance to City Hall to reserve or pay for Dog waste is a big problem; no signs <br />rentals is too greatit should be done indicating people should pick up after their <br />electronically dogs <br />No picnic tables Significant amount of trash left in the park <br />by a few park users; more receptacles are <br />needed, especially at entrances <br /> <br />Dollars should be spent on something The park is small and not prominent from <br />besides a building public road; parking should be off Old <br />Highway 8 <br />A public meeting space is needed in this Park is dark <br />part of Roseville <br />Too much space dedicated to hockey People who live near the park hear things <br />going on at night that should not be <br />happening in the park <br />Lack of lights on hockey make is hard to Kids play area and the basketball court are <br />get reasonable skating timethe most frequently used parts of the park <br />Poor drainage in outfieldThe neighborhood is smaller but just as <br />diverse as any in Roseville <br /> <br />
